A Walk in the Woods

“If you go down to the woods today‚Ķ”

As children my sister and I would spend part of the Summer at our Nana’s. Her house was at the top of a hill and at the bottom was a wood full of grand oaks and delicate bluebells which we loved to explore. She would always sing the Teddy Bears Picnic song and although we never saw a bear we did see a lot of squirrels.

This collection encapsulates the innocence of childhood and the huge disappointment of never finding a bear eating a picnic in the woods.
